Where Music Meets Meaningful Conversation
The Artist Q&A Stage is one of the most unique experiences at Roots n' Resin.
Following every performance on the East and West Stages, the artist or band will join festival attendees for an intimate, live question-and-answer session focused on one of the festival's core missions—patient advocacy and the conversation surrounding medical cannabis.
These sessions provide fans with an opportunity to connect with artists beyond the music, hearing their personal perspectives, experiences, and opinions in an open, respectful, and engaging environment.
Every artist or band performing on the East Stage or West Stage will make a scheduled appearance on the Artist Q&A Stage.
Each session begins approximately 30 minutes after the artist's performance, giving performers time to meet fans, transition from the stage, and prepare for the discussion.
Throughout the weekend, dozens of artists will participate, making every session a unique experience with different viewpoints, backgrounds, and conversations.
Every East & West Stage Artist Participates
Each Artist Q&A session lasts approximately 15 minutes and features five audience questions selected from the 50 attendees in attendance.
The format is intentionally concise, allowing conversations to remain focused, engaging, and respectful while keeping artists on schedule for the remainder of their festival commitments.
Every session is different, shaped by the artist's experiences and the questions asked by attendees.
An Intimate Audience
To encourage genuine discussion and meaningful interaction, attendance is intentionally limited.
Each Artist Q&A session welcomes 50 randomly selected festival attendees, creating a comfortable setting where every participant has an opportunity to engage with the artist.
Random audience selection helps ensure that every festival guest has an equal opportunity to participate throughout the weekend.
Five Questions - Fifteen Minutes.

Roots n' Resin is committed to promoting education, awareness, and respectful dialogue surrounding medical cannabis.
Each Q&A session centers on the artist's views regarding medical cannabis.
Some artists may be registered medical cannabis patients.
Some may have family members or friends who have benefited from medical cannabis.
Others may simply share their personal opinions or observations.
There is no expectation that every artist supports or uses medical cannabis. Honest, respectful conversation is the goal.
By bringing together musicians and attendees in an open forum, the Artist Q&A Stage encourages thoughtful discussion while helping reduce stigma through education and personal perspective.
Real Conversations. Real People.
The Artist Q&A Stage is not a press conference.
It's not a promotional interview.
It's a chance to hear directly from the people behind the music in a relaxed setting where authentic conversations take precedence over rehearsed answers.
Whether an artist has decades of experience advocating for medical cannabis or is simply sharing a personal viewpoint, every discussion contributes to the festival's mission of fostering understanding through respectful dialogue.
Included w/ Festival Admission
There is no additional charge to participate.
All festival attendees are eligible to be randomly selected for Artist Q&A sessions throughout the weekend.
If selected, participants will receive instructions on where and when to report before the scheduled session begins.
One of the Most Unique Experiences at RnR.
The Artist Q&A Stage embodies what makes Roots n' Resin different.
It blends music, advocacy, education, and community into an experience that simply can't be found at most festivals.
Where else can you watch an incredible live performance, then sit down just thirty minutes later with the artist to ask thoughtful questions about a topic that impacts millions of people?
At Roots n' Resin, the conversation doesn't end when the music does—it begins.
